K04 TSI Conversion Package now available!
Knowing the limitations on the IHI ( K03 ) turbo the TSI comes equipped with we sought out to upgrade the turbo while maintaining factory plumbing and lessen the install burden for shops and home mechanics alike.
The factory Borg Warner K04 turbo that is equipped on the Golf R / S3 is a much more robust turbo with a higher operational boost range, while still mounting on and integrating seamlessly with the stock compentry. We modify the OEM K04 compressor cover, to allow the factory K03 diverter valve to be installed in the OEM location via a CNC port adapter, saving the consumer from purchasing unnecessary plumbing and mounts to complete the installation.
We also remove the turbo muffler to accomodate an HPA designed CNC machined fitting allowing the outlet pipe of the turbo to be rotated to clear the block, and to increase airflow out of the unit. This has the added side effect of a less muffled and smoother air stream exiting the turbo.

HPA Golf R Quad Pack Rear Exhaust
Introducing the HPA Quad Pack Exhaust for Golf R: The magnum opus of our fabrication team, this work of art is an uncompromising blend of performance and sound. Hand manufactured in house from T-304 Stainless Steel, the cat back system works in conjunction with HPA’s downpipe and midpipe to revolutionize the exhaust flow of the VW Golf R without sacrificing cabin comfort.
Three inch mandrel bent tubing leads to a four barrel muffler with bypass valve opening under WOT to allow the turbo to spin more freely and reduce backpressure. A direct fit with factory rear valence, the exhaust is available with standard polished tips for $1495 or add $100 for premium black tips.
HPA is now taking pre-orders for the first production run of 50 pieces which is scheduled to ship at end of February.
Introducing the Emich VW / HPA Motorsports / 3 Zero 3 Motorsports World Challenge Team
May 17, 2013, Austin, TX: HPA Motorsports is proud to be partnering with Emich VW and 3 Zero 3 Motorsports to field two VW Jetta GLI Touring Cars in the 2013 Pirelli World Challenge circuit.
After finding success last season, the team at HPA is motivated to stay involved with the World Challenge series as an important platform to continue fine tuning its 2.0L performance program trackside in this demanding competitive environment.
Managing the Emich VW / HPA Motorsports team is Colorado based 3 Zero 3 Motorsports. 2013 is the fourth year for the 3 Zero 3 team to campaign with World Challenge and their trackside technical expertise and professionalism is a real asset to the group. This will be the second year for the Emich VW team to be running HPA hardware and software.
